Merriweather Symphony of Lights: A Holiday Tradition Returns to Howard County
This holiday season, enjoy the larger-than-life Merriweather Symphony of Lights! Located in Symphony Woods Park in Columbia, this drive-through holiday light show features more than 100 animated and stationary light creations and more than 300,000 bulbs. The family-oriented event promises dazzling light displays of seasonal icons like the North Pole, candy canes, and trains. While you enjoy the displays, tune into the Merriweather Symphony of Lights’ radio frequency to hear event information and holiday music while you drive or, on certain nights, walk through the one-mile-long spectacular lights display in the historic Merriweather Post Pavilion!
A portion of all proceeds collected by Merriweather Symphony of Lights will benefit the Howard County General Hospital and the Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission. Be sure to check the website for Merriweather Symphony of Lights to learn about the display’s special events, like Midnight at 7, a New Year’s Eve celebration with fireworks, and Tail Lights, a special night to walk your dogs through the display! Don’t miss this time-honored Howard County tradition!
