Explore the History of the Telephone, Underwater Radar and More at the National Electronics Museum
Have you ever wondered how the earliest version of radar was invented? Wanted to see a satellite up close? Desired to know more about exactly how wireless transmissions work? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, or have an interest in electronics in general, visit the National Electronics Museum.
The National Electronics Museum plays host to a permanent collection of nine exhibits, plus an ever-changing temporary exhibit. They cover all different kinds of topics, from centuries ago to the present day. In the Fundamentals Gallery, you’ll gain a better understanding of how electricity is generated by actually getting some hands-on experience with rudimentary generators—you can even become part of a human battery. The Communications Gallery sheds light on the science that drove inventions like the Morse telegraph and the Bell telephone.
