The Bavarian Brauhaus proudly bills itself as Hanover’s “only place for authentic German-American cuisine,” and it draws a regular crowd of frankfurter- and schnitzel-loving locals.
First time visiting this unique eatery? Order the sausage sampler plate if you want to taste a variety of different styles and flavors, or go for a classic meal of lightly breaded and fried pork chops with potato pancakes, sauerkraut, and a side of applesauce. Whatever you order, consider washing it all down with something special from the bar; a wide variety of German brews is offered in both bottles and on tap. There’s also a special selection of German spirits, including premium vodkas and the ever-popular Jäger liqueurs.
