Fresh Seafood Plays a Starring Role at Rye Street Tavern
Rye Street Tavern only opened its doors to customers about two months ago, but the early reviews are in, and they’re pointing to a major win for chef and owner Andrew Carmellini. More than 20 Yelp reviewers have awarded the eatery a perfect five-star average, citing Chef Andrew’s contemporary take on classic Southern comfort food as the reason.
Chef Andrew enlists locally sourced ingredients in almost all of his dishes, including the popular The Coast seafood bake. Its a mix of crab, prawns, mussels, and clams swimming in lemon, garlic, cherry tomatoes, and white wine with slices of grilled baguette on the side. Most of the menu is seafood-centric, with a Crab of the Day each day and main dishes like bacon-wrapped rainbow trout and wood-grilled Maryland Rockfish. Add a unique cocktail to your meal for the full Rye Street Tavern experience.
