Could You Author the Next Great American Novel?
Writing seems like a simple thing to do, right? You put pen to paper, construct sentences, and boom, you’re an author. But, as anyone who has tried to do this can tell you, it’s not quite that easy. But worry not, help is on the way.
Unique Robinson, poet, performer, and professor will be facilitating a Writing Workshop during Motor House’s monthly open mic series. Ms. Robinson has taught poetry and creative writing for 7 years at the community, collegiate, and K-12 levels as both Teaching Artist, and Professor in Humanistic Studies at MICA and Towson University.
This Writing Workshop provides a space for participants of all levels and genres of writing to create new pieces, and workshop any existing ones. Oftentimes, Writing Workshops are only offered at the collegiate level, or in Writing Fellowships. This is a rare opportunity for writers outside of institutions to develop and focus on their craft.
Visit the workshop’s web page here for dates and times. The workshops will be held at Motor House, 120 West North Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21201. Admission is free. Who knows, maybe YOU can be the next J. K. Rowling or George R. R. Martin.
